I wanted to center my project around women’s empowerment due to society’s current views on feminism. In today's society, there has been many issues regarding gender pay gaps and the roles men and women are put into. Therefore, it is important to teach children how they can make an impact on these issues, regardless how big of an impact it is. I also focused my project on how kids can love themselves and their body. Our society is centered around social media and one’s appearance. With influencers such as the Kardashians who promote diet teas and plastic surgeries, many people feel the need to look a certain way. Due to this pressure, millions of people are struggling with eating disorders and other body issues. Through my workshops I tried to promote healthy body images by asking the kids what they liked most about themselves, rather than what they did not.
